Getting started with Blockchain
Top 5 Free resources to help you develop "just-enough" understanding of Blockchain
When I started my Blockchain journey, back in 2018, I found it hard to find genuine legitimate resources to learn the technology and its concepts. I didn’t want to get into the deep-dive & learn how to code Blockchain, rather, I wanted to develop “just-enough” understanding of this technology so that I can remain abreast with the new buzz and also find useful & real-world applications around the work I do. Therefore, understanding what Blockchain is, and how can it be applied to a business, enterprise or a startup, to make business sense, is all what I wanted.
Till date, I meet people struggling to find genuine content, as there are almost unlimited number of resources on the internet. Then, we end up doing Blockchain courses (and having another problem to select the best of courses), paying a decent amount for them. The problem with them is - one, we can’t determine if that is good to consume or not, second, hard to find specific content on how Blockchain can be applied to businesses (yes, you can see mostly about cryptocurrencies).
Based on this context, I built my own digital library with the best Blockchain related resources, which can help us understand Blockchain and learn to apply it to our work, business, enterprise, product or startup.
IBM Blockchain for Dummies (FREE)
Enterprise Blockchain for Dummies - by Oracle (FREE)
Blockchain Technology Overview (FREE)
Bitcoin Whitepaper (FREE)
Ethereum Whitepaper (FREE)
The last two are whitepapers which relate to cryptocurrencies, but they teach us important foundational concepts - and hence are important. Remember, that the Blockchain courses only came after people developed its understanding, which means that knowledge can be developed without the courses as well. I am not against these courses, as they still help by collecting, organizing & presenting information so that it becomes easy for you to consume. With the above resources, and if you move further in the journey, you will develop the same understanding as you will do with any other Blockchain course.
Once you go through them and finish reading (should take around 2 weeks from now), just write back to me with your specific interest - I will share a bonus resource with you, to take it further. Thanks.
